'In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.'

With the world experiencing a rapidly increasing ageing population it's more important that ever that we do what we can to live a happier, healthier older life. And it turns out, it's not that complicated to do if you apply these 5 Longevity Hacks.
Go on a walk for 30 minutes every day. This reduces your risk of heart attack, stroke, Alzheimer’s, cancer, Parkinson’s and neurodegeneration. And, potentially increases your lifespan by seven to 10 years. It turns out physical activity is the most powerful way to age well. And you want to add strength training and Pilates to this so you will get that perfect mix of cardio, strength, mobility and flexibility training.
Stay on top of your doctor's visits. Going to the appropriate doctors for annual checkups is super important if you want to live longer and healthier. Have those check-ups and go for those screenings.
Spend as much time as you can socialising. Feeling connected to others can make an impact on how long you live. From occasionally to every day interactions, these will all increase your lifespan. Make it work for you but get out there and stay connected to friends, family and community.
Prioritise whole foods over processed ones. Eating less processed foods (think anything in a package with a long shelf-life) is important. Go for whole foods like fruits, vegetables, grains, meat and fish.
Stick to a sleep routine. Following the same routine every night can increase your chances of getting some sleep. Going to bed at a consistent time, shutting any screens off at least two hours before bed and doing the same activity before bed whether that is reading a book, having a bath, writing in your journal, whatever helps you wind down and prepare for sleep.
